Purpose of the Position
Engineering (Assemblies) is responsible for leading aerospace assembly engineering activities across multiple programs. The role involves ownership of assembly industrialization, process engineering, customer interface, supplier coordination, configuration management, and continuous improvement to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production aligned with global aerospace standards.
Key Competencies
- Aerospace Assembly: Panels, fuselage assemblies, composite & metallic structures
- Manufacturing Engineering: Process planning, tooling knowledge, producibility analysis
- Automation: Automatic Riveting Machines (ARM) – implementation & troubleshooting
- Quality & Compliance: AS9100 Rev D, PPAP, MRB, RCCA
- Configuration Management: EBOM / MBOM, engineering change management
- Lean Tools: Error prevention, root cause analysis, continuous improvement
- Design Interpretation: GD&T, customer drawings, technical specifications
- Tools (basic working knowledge): CATIA, SolidWorks, LabVIEW (fundamentals)
